I gathered twigs, and lit a fire,
And set the pot to brew.
Simplicity’s sure to grab, inspire,
And a stunning view.
I sit down here, upon the grass,
And my thoughts compose,
Luscious moments gently pass,
Full of sweet repose.
This is what life’s all about,
Nothing too ornate,
Just a cup of tea, a glass of stout,
And a view to titillate.
I feel the same way when setting by the sea. A place where I can think clearly and be at peace. I should visit there more often. Great picture, I build my bonfire on the sand and set just about it so that I can enjoy the action of the waves.
It is a lovely thing to build a bonfire to cook on, isn’t it? How lovely for you to be able to make it a regular fixture,,William.
