The fabulous Paralympic Winter Games,
When unknown folk become household names,
Those who can barely see,
Choose to Alpine Ski,
Courage will never seem the same!
The extraordinarily brave Kelly Gallagher is the first Briton to win Olympic Gold. She is partially sighted and has just won the Alpine Super-G following her guide, Charlotte Evans
While I applaud the athletes, the venue is a true issue.
The athletes are truly extraordinary. The venue is down to the Olympic Committee who chose it as appropriate…
I simply don’t know how she did it. Kelly Gallagher is an inspiration. I am speechless.
It is astonishing what they do!
Fantastic stuff!
It is astonishing! I’ve seen blind skiers go down mountains for the first time with guides… the amount of trust these skiers must have in their guides and their own ability is uncanny!
It is fabulous, isn’t it?
I love these games. You poem is a wonderful tribute!
I do too! And thank you Carol!
