This poem is about The Tsukiji Fish Market or The Tokyo Metropolitan Wholesale Market
This is a market that does not have a dearth
Of fish of all kinds – it’s the largest on earth.
At 5 am you can wander around
And find fish of all kinds, to amaze and astound.
Octopus, tuna, shellfish and crab,
And tanks of exotics, both splendid and drab.
Hundreds of fish are sold here each hour,
And you can buy one, have it cooked, then simply devour!
I have been to Tsukiji Fish Market once, it is an amazing market!
It is astonishing just what you can buy there!
Thanks for the poetry!
You are very welcome Brook Visser!
Oh, I would love to shop there. And all that going on so early, that’s my kind of place! Another place to put on my “bucket list” Caro!
It is mind blowingly huge and you can buy almost anything there, get it cooked on the spot and eat it!
A great place to explore, I would need a few days, goof cooking equipment etc. but I would love to visit it once. Unlike Amy, I can not add another item to my bucket list until I clear out a few things. Thank you for making us aware of such a place.
You are welcome! I think we should all make a joint trip!
A joint trip would be super – if I could get over my fear of flying.
Ah! Anita suffers from that too! Perhaps you should take a fear of flying course together!
cool poetry.
Thank you!
Oh now, I am prepared to fly anywhere for shellfish that fresh… excuse me whilst I pack !
me too!
