I am proud to be a coffee snob,
It’s got to be the proper job,
A nice rich roast of coffee bean,
I need my fix of neat caffeine.
Instant coffee’s not the same,
It doesn’t merit or deserve the name.
Americano, iced or latte,
An espresso after an all-night party,
Macchiato, cappuccino,
Mocha, Irish, Frappuccino.
Turkish coffee, Viennese,
Cafe Zorro? Ooh, yes please!
Yes, I am a coffee buff,
And no, I cannot get enough.
Haha. This is true for many people. Have you done a cheese poem yet? I have been enjoying Anita-Clare’s posts by the cheese guy. Hope you are feeling better. xoxo
I wrote about Stinking Bishop, an exceptionally fine cheese!
Ah. From the area of my mother (Gloucestershire) and exceptionally fine mother π
Mamas are even lovelier
Ah, a really good cup of coffee is such a rare find, but when one does find it, the whole day changes for the better. I am a big fan of Americano, if the water to the expresso is correct.
Oh yes Indeedy!
Love it. Do you take it black? I always need a little milk – same with tea. Great poem!
No! Always need some milk!
I love the aroma of coffee – the taste as well. I gave up caffeinated coffee a while ago and occasionally indulge in a decaf coffee with frothed half and half – YUM! We too are coffee snobs in our house! Great poem!
I am a caffeinated girl!
Thanks!
Love it i am say you can call me a coffee addict!!!! I have mine white with 2 and have (gulp) nine cups a day *sigh*
Huzzah for coffee!
I could not agree more, especially about Instant. Throw Decaf in that same category.
I agree Bill!
As one coffee junkie to another, I love it. I totally agree with you on the instant. That stuff is worse than pond scum, and don’t get me started on decaf!!! Seriously????
Ah a woman after my own heart!
I had no idea there were so many ways to fix coffee. You need to go another poem on the different places coffee comes from. I bet there are plenty of rhymes you can make. I love this one.
Thanks Ann!
Love it…coffee is like wine…and as complex To me, a good cup should have a head…like a stout beer.
Couldn’t agree with you more…
I agree with your poem. Instant coffee is not the same. LOVE my coffee:)
Me too, Toni!
The expresso machine awaits your return. I has beanz for grinding an everyfink π
…bumping too?! xx
Caro,
I used to drink about any type of coffee, but since my son has been working as a barista, he has elevated my coffee awareness and now I’m a coffee snob, too. I love cappucinos, but also nothing beats a good cup from our French press, with a bit of sugar and cream. Yum. Think I need to go get another cup!
…huzzah for your son!
Your style is really unique in comparison to other people I’ve read stuff from. Thanks for posting when you’ve got the opportunity, Guess
I’ll just book mark this blog.
Thank you so much!
