ScottpigletsUntil quite recently rarely seen,

They are now quite common in the Forest of Dean,

Striped like tigers, in brown and cream,

The piglets are truly a visual dream.

They are fearsome and brave in defence of their kin,

With curving tusks and bristly skin,

They have large heads and very short legs,

Are they Italian? It’s a question one begs,

They forage for grass and berries and roots,

But if meat’s about they fill their boots,

They’re delicious to look at, delicious to eat,

One tiny taste and your life is complete,

So load up my plate, I’m in search for more,

Of that glorious dish that is known as wild boar!
