For Alessa I wrote a chocolate post,
Rather than something about Carolina,
But she cooks Italian, the food I love most,
So I’m aiming to descend on her ‘diner’!
She also writes frankly about bits and bobs,
She writes about travel, she writes about tea,
What she herself monikers a ‘hodge podge’,
She writes about buildings and slavery.
She writes about dogs and on decorations,
Of autism and of the colour blue,
About Elvis and beer and celebrations,
In pursuit of happiness chapters one and two.
Her blog is full of a homespun charm,
Go check it out, it’s an oasis of calm…
Thanks Caro, and I couldn’t do it with out my NC half, Tammie! Fun post!
You are welcome Alessa! Send Tammie my regards in NC!
Excellent, nothing could be finer than a blog on Carolina 🙂
Thanks my love!
Yes, she writes like that, and her recipes make you want to stop what your doing and head for the kitchen.. let me know when you’ll be there for “diner” and I’ll stop by with a nice bottle of Italian wine. Now that I have enjoyed another of your poems I can set down for morning tea.
Thanks William….and yes, we will have to meet for a nice meal, won’t we, all of us foodies?!
Never seen a blog more special. .. poetic and beautiful. compliments …Ada
Thank you!
Your Carolina primer,
Gives one and all a glimmer,
how the stuff Alessa and Tammie,
share, filling every nook and cranny
Thanks Roy! But you need to check my tribute to you over the weekend!
Another sweet post, Caro! I am enjoying your blog so much! I love Alessa’s blog, too!
Sorry Any! Brain freeze!
Thank you so much Alessa!
I had the pleasure of meeting Alessa, her mother, and her son, last March at a Civil War reenactment in South Carolina. A downpour cut our visit short, and we won’t be in the Carolinas this spring but – I still have the Ravenel Bridge to conquer, and Chapel Hill to see, so I will be back!
…and a new friend to meet up with!
