Why is it so seductive?
What makes it so divine?
Is it the colour?
The flavour?
The Marque or the mousse,
That makes it the king of wine.
From small quarter to Nebuchadnezzar,*
Why can’t I resist yet again?
It’s all the above
Plus the fizz and the zing,
The miraculous, magnificent
Joy of the thing,
That I find in a glass of champagne!
* For champagne aficionados everywhere to remind them of what (in their wildest dreams) they are aspiring to!

Oh how I love Champagne! Although it’s perfect just as it is, I do especially enjoy a Kir Royale…*sigh*
Me too! And I love a Kir Royale too! But I prefer a Bellini!
What fun, Caro! I had some peach champagne from California once, and it was divine!
…my favourite tipple!
I have only had Champagne once, and it was recently at my friends wedding!
…it’s my favourite drink so you have my sympathy for not having it more often!
Hmmmm is this why you are so effervescent Caro mia? You are filled with Fizz? A delightful froth-filled pom !
It (F)IZZ (see what I did there?)
the bubbly always makes one happy! 🙂
It most certainly DOES!
Bubbly is always recommended, though I am a puritan and speak of sparkling wine unless it has been produced in Champagne area…. Mumm, Lanson, etc are just the thing the docktor ordered
I couldn’t agree with you more!
I couldn’t agree with you more Kaarin!
