Cat-In-A-Box

I’ve found this box and it’s a good fit,

There’s really nowhere quite like it,

So  it’s precisely where I choose to sit,

And I think I’ll stay here quite a bit,

If food and friends and family permit!

A Four Letter Word

Love is just a four-letter word
Like long, or like, or wish, or hope,
Yet, though it may seem quite absurd,
It encircles the heart with silken rope,
And makes each day seem bright and new,
With myriad wonderful things to do.
No hill too steep, no road too far,
To be precisely where YOU are!
You, the lover, you the muse,
You the beautiful dancing shoes
That sashay into the mind, the brain,
And linger, like a sweet refrain,
That needs discovering again and again….
Love is just a four letter word,
Like sing, or grin, or feel or hold,
Yet it’s the icing on the cake,
The greatest story ever told.
It’s the fizz in a fine champagne,
It’s the huff and puff of an old steam train
The breeze breathing gently on your face
The intricacies of a piece of lace,
It’s euphoria, it’s a dream
It’s the cherry on top of a large ice cream,
It’s a name you can’t ignore
If I’m the apple, your its core,
It’s a megatastic superstore.
Love is just a four-letter word,
But oh, it is so much MORE

Damned

I’m damned if I do, and damned if I don’t,

Damned if I will, and damned if I won’t.

I must try to make choices, this I do know,

Decisions are needed in order to grow,

But often I find that at this I’m quite slow!

There’s so much to consider when trying to decide,

And, having done so, there’s nowhere to hide!

But away with the flakiness, just make the right choice,

And, having made it, it’s cause to rejoice!

The Flump

So here I am sitting down  next to my mum,
Who happens to be  driving,
And I’m watching everything as it comes,
To see when we’ll be arriving.
I’m an irresistible little flump,
A tearaway, loving, funny chump,
I’m happy, yes, I’m thriving.

The Place Where I Feel Better

It’s the place where I feel better,

When I’m feeling low,

It’s where my spirit starts to burn,

And equilibrium can return,

As balance starts to grow.

It’s the place where I feel better,

Emerging from a grounded mist,

There’s a light to welcome at the door,

For anyone who’s been before,

And any who was missed.

It’s the place where I feel better,

Where I grow in heart and soul,

A place that truly nourishes,

Where everybody flourishes,

A place that makes you whole.

The Prize

If we help each other,

We might just get our prize,

Help me, canine brother,

To reach this manna in the skies!

A gorgeous, rich saucisson sec

Is what I’m aiming for,

We’ll get it down our necks,

And come back for some more!
