Studebaker was founded in 1852,
With cars quite eccentric, or at least that’s my view,
A pick-up, a Champion, a ’55 Wagonaire,
A vehicle with style you could take anywhere…
The factory was in South Bend till 1963,
Then closed and became part of automotive history.

I used to know a man who once sold those cars!
Shame you don’t still know him!
I’ve always liked that car – thank you for honouring it with a poem.
Lovely car, huh?
Caro, I dated–briefly–a sweet young man, Ted Studebaker, who was part of that illustrious family. I was hoping he’d give me one of those awesome cars, but no. I’m still good friends with his brother.
And are there any ld Studebakers to be had?!
