So yes, I’m a foodie but to capture my heart,
Making a pudding’s a really good start!
Starters and soups, well yes they’re OK,
But to get my pulse racing, make a rich Creme brûlée!
Yes to vanilla, custard and crunch,
I’d eat it it for breakfast, supper and lunch!
I know that too many and I’ll resemble a blimp,
But this on the menu and my body goes limp!
So forget that savoury dish, or that tasteful entree,
And conjure me a diamond, a Creme brûlée!

Oh I so agree! Creme brulee is the best of all possible desserts…I can’t resist a creme brulee, whereas most other desserts I can if I need to be strong. fantastic poem tribute to a fantastic dessert!! 🙂
It is sublime!
It is so good, I only make it when company is going to drop by, otherwise I would be in big trouble. Have you ever had it
made with Irish Cream Liquor? A friend of mine here in Wisconsin is a Chef in an Irish Pub, where I’ll stop now and then for
a pint, a little Irish stew and finish the afternoon with his wonder Creme burlee.
Can I join you at the Irish pub please, William?
Creme brulee and bread and butter pudding. Preferably on the same plate 🙂
Creme brûlée does it for me but I do make a delicious raspberry bread and butter pudding – you will have to come and try it!
Love the post and the pud. I have a recipe for squash brûlée – nice but a vegetable base. I like the idea of adding liqueur!!
So do I Carol, so do I!
I’ve never made Creme brulee, but I know that it’s something I really need to learn to make. Thinking about it just makes my mouth water! Lovely poem, Caro!
You and your family won’t regret it!
