If you cast a glance at a beach cottage dot com,
It is fun to try to guess where Sarah’s from,
Her home’s in Australia, nestled close to the sea,
With a battered deck and an ancient fig tree.
Study her lighting and beach decor,
Check out the bathroom, with her dog asleep on the floor.
Chase for thrifty finds but avoid Super Snark,
Discover what to paint on Thursdays, after dark.
How organic food has a different taste,
What to reclaim, what not to waste.
She’s out in the garden planting comfrey and rue,
Or picking some flowers for a garden ‘do’.
Go visit her home, it’s a true delight,
But reader beware, you have to like white!

Ah yes, and as I am headed for our beach hangout in Mexico tomorrow a.m., I will visit this beach cottage today. I might even get a few new ideas. I love life in Mexico, it is so much simpler. There is something about the ocean, sand and sun that brings life to a proper pace.
Have a wonderful time there William…and enjoy this haven too! I envy you, I adore Mexico!
Oh, you KNOW I’m going to check this one out. Who can resist a beach cottage?
Who can indeed?!
I like white and I’d kill for that bathroom!
Lush, isn’t it?!
Sounds beautiful : )
It is!
Caro, I so enjoyed what Sarah did with that dump that I lost all track of time. My dream home, but there is no way I could ever do that.
Makes you feel quote feeble, doesn’t it?!
I noted that too,
Beach cottage’s view,
Is the opposite of Henry Ford,
Where black was never bored,
But, all this white,
makes me uptight.
Thanks for the plug, Roy
I’ll have to check out the site – all my furniture is white & my walls used to be. Great post!!
Enjoy! It is gorgeous!
Loved her white mason jars! What a great idea.
Great, huh?
Thanks for another great blog! I could definitively do with a beach house right now. I simply have had enough of the cold…
Me too!
