Amidst a haze of luscious green
Is the leaf that turned.
Is it wondrous or obscene,
This leaf that now looks burned?
I truly believe this singular thing,
That beauty is found in imperfection.
For me, this beautiful leaf is king,
It demands study and re-inspection.
ok, but don’t let them turn too soon, It is still below 30 degrees here in Wisconsin and we are still in the winter of last year. Of course, once we do get leaves and they do start to turn, it is a sigh that we need to head back to Mexico and that is a good thing. So in a way, I am looking forward to the leaves of spring to arrive, which means that they will turn sooner or later.
